Deckon on Campus / Okan University

As part of the “Deckon on Campus” program, Deckon met with architecture students at Istanbul Okan University, creating a direct exchange between academic education and professional practice within the architectural field.

The session focused on suspended ceiling systems and their integration into contemporary building typologies, particularly in educational, social, and high-occupancy spaces. Discussions addressed how ceiling systems contribute to acoustic comfort, spatial organization, and technical performance in complex architectural environments.

Project-based examples were used to explain how system selection, material behavior, and installation logic directly influence architectural outcomes, especially in large-scale campus developments where functionality and flexibility are critical.

This engagement reflects Deckon’s ongoing commitment to supporting architectural education while contributing to a more technically grounded and practice-oriented design culture within the discipline.
