As part of the “Deckon on Campus” program, Deckon met with architecture students at Istanbul Bilgi University, establishing a direct exchange between academic education and industry practice.
The session focused on the role of suspended ceiling systems in contemporary architectural design, with particular attention to acoustic performance, spatial zoning, and material selection strategies in high-use environments such as educational and public buildings.
Through selected project examples, the discussion highlighted how technical ceiling systems are developed in response to architectural intent, functional requirements, and environmental performance criteria, bridging the gap between design thinking and construction reality.
This engagement reflects Deckon’s ongoing commitment to supporting architectural education while contributing to a more technically informed, practice-oriented, and design-conscious architectural culture.
